After graduating the U.S. Air Force Academy with a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering, I trained as a communications and computer systems engineering officer. I then served in a special projects branch of Air Force Intelligence Command as a special projects program manager coordinating command, control, communications, computers, and intelligence (“C4I”) support for the development and operation of U.S. space vehicles.

On separating from active duty, I served in reserve assignments to the U.S. Air Force Academy and Davis-Monthan Air Force Base, while also employed by Trident Data Systems – a special projects defense contractor devoted to U.S. government programs and operations. I completed my military service as a Captain in the U.S. Air Force Reserve.

I then attended St. Mary’s University School of Law, where I received my law degree. In October 2017, I founded Wayne J. Colton, Inc., a Texas firm initially focused on U.S. and international patent prosecution.
